Falls Canyon Surgical Associates is a private group of general surgeons with a rich history in providing surgical care to the Silverton and Stayton communities, in the foothills of the cascades.

Dr. Nealon has practiced in the area for over 20 years and was responsible for bringing advanced laparoscopy to Silverton. He was the first surgeon in Silverton to perform laparoscopic appendectomies, laparoscopic hiatal and ventral hernia repairs as well as laparoscopic bowel resections. In 2021, Dr. Havel joined the Silverton based practice and continues the tradition of providing state of the art care, locally. 

Drs. Nealon and Havel are excited to expand their services to the patients of Stayton Hospital and the surrounding communities. Working with Santiam Hospital administration in conjunction with established surgeon, Dr. McGreevy, we have dedicated office hours with surgical coverage of emergent and elective surgical needs.  

The name Falls Canyon Surgical Associates came about because we extend our care well beyond the city of our original location in Silverton. Falls Canyon encompasses the east Willamette Valley including Silverton and Stayton Hospitals. Furthermore, it includes the surrounding communities of Mount Angel, Woodburn, Molalla, Scott’s Mills, and Gervais. It includes the towns of Gates, Mill City, Lyons, Aumsville, Turner, Scio, and Jefferson. It also includes patients from Salem and Keizer who appreciate the personalized care they can get from the surgeons of Falls Canyon Surgical Associates, in the small rural setting.
